Week 9: Introduction to CAD

This week we got an introduction to CAD (computer aided design). This lesson was the last of the drawing classes. Using a CAD is a great way of communication our designs in 3D. We also discussed different ways to prototype and demonstrate our ideas at the exhibition.

As our portfolio meeetings are next week we continued to look at possible solutions for our individial areas. We are using different techniques of idea generation to come up with different soluions. The techniques we could use included De Bono's six thinking hats, analogies, matrices, sketches and more. Our focus is to now refine our solutions and pick the best and most suitable one, documenting the entire process getting ready for the portfolio meeting.
