Floating Farm Land

 

Arable Land is starting to get scarce all around the world, and it is one of our required needed resources. Farmers use arable land to farm for crops, such as wheat, flour, and more. Most of the ingredients gathered are used in our everyday lives, so to summarise it can be said that arable land is one of the most important resources for living, if not the most. Arable land is slowly decreasing all around the world, because of the lack of space due to wars, immigrants, machinery plants, overpopulation, and more. New Zealand is one of those countries that is getting affected by some of these issues, we are starting to get a larger population, and therefore they need places to live, so the government, and people keep building apartments and houses for these people to live in; this causes the decrease in arable land. This is a very big problem for New Zealand since allot of its income is from exporting the goods that come from arable land. 

 

 

For the solution, I initially came up with an idea after I thought about how a large scale ship can carry tons and tons of materials around so I figured why can’t we put bits of land (arable) on floating materials as mentioned before?

This issue will be resolved by floating farm land because when it has finally been implemented people can start to put building where ever they want and there will not be any constraints by the law to stop migration, as all of the farm land will be on the oceans. From doing this it will result in the economic growth of New Zealand because more immigrants come to New Zealand means more income, while arable lands will also be expanding. The down side of this resolution is that it may not be for some countries as they might have a disadvantage in the geography area as they might not have any big oceans, or lakes around there nation.

 

To make this solution happen there are four requirements: 
 

• Money

• Pine wood

• Bio-degradable paint

• Rock fence
